Biography
The currently reigning matriarch of House Sharen. In keeping with Sharen traditions, their matriarchs usually wind up retired one way or another at much younger ages than other Great Houses though remain as revered figures within the luxuries of the house. As a result Cazvrath seems very young for the matriarch position and since she didn't take the position by force she is not as intimidating as other matriarchs. Until you see her bank account at least. Cazvrath took power shortly after first contact with the silnian and has been in charge of the house during the early period of galactic awareness. Her mother, the former matriarch, is currently retired at their palace as an advisor. As with most of her siblings, she has been educated from a young age to fulfill a specific role based on the needs of the house. After first contact, it was decided that Cazvrath's expertise in political studies and economics made her the right daughter for the job.
As a direct consequence of this, she has been notably slow to engage in open conflict and prefers to just remind everyone how powerful her fleet is to dissuade them from picking any fights. Since the beginning of her reign, the house has been much more focused on making as few enemies as possible and finding the right investments to assure their future in the galactic age. She is known for being unusually calm and diplomatic for a drow, particularly to a fault given her hesitation to get into any armed conflicts. Believing that having to spend her fortune on military assets unnecessarily means less money to invest in other projects that will produce a stronger return on investment in the future. The main reason behind Sharen's vast and highly advanced fleet can be traced to Cazvrath's belief that mobility and logistics in the galactic age will lead to stronger opportunities for the house than investing too much in just weapons.
Because of House Sharen's strange traditions, Cazvrath does not need to fear for her life as much as other drow matriarchs tend to. Both her mother and her great grandmother are comfortably retired in the same palace they once ruled from. While this had led to the outward appearance of her being particularly amicable, it shouldn't be understated that she is still a very powerful matriarch who is used to getting her way. House Sharen has few enemies because few survive the affair. Cazvrath is outwardly friendly and diplomatic but no one is really sure how often she has ordered Sharen's assassin's to remove problems from her path.
