Zombie

The undead legions of Necrosi hold "zombies" as their most populous citizens, these figures of the dead have long been feared throughout history as mindless tools of necromancers. The actual truth is that the mindless creatures that necromancy summons is by grace of a near constant minor intersection between Necrosi and the middle planes. Real zombies from necrosi are fully intelligent beings with grace and wisdom to rival even the elves.

These zombies are not capable of regrowing tissue and bone unlike the living humanoids they most closely resemble. Despite their long lifespan, small cut on their skin will never heal and as a result requires immediate medical attention so it does not spread, aside from that healing magic is utterly ineffective on them. As a zombie ages it collects scars from all sorts of mundane things, as a result they are surprisingly graceful in their movements as to prevent themselves from gaining accidental injuries. Some of the more hard-living type rely on modern technology to keep them held together, often replacing large portions of their body with synthetic and cybernetic materials.

Socially these undying humans are still somewhat resented due to their close relation to humans and the old ages of zombie hordes terrorizing the populace. Few have risen above the lower class outside of Necrosi. The constant bid by Shetou to control Necrosi as one of its many houses has put their last sanctuary at risk, however for the time being the vampire families prevent Necrosi from leaving undead control.

Zombie reproduction method is based on an ancient necromantic ritual instead of sexual procreation. As a zombie grows older and acquires more and more scars it may choose to end its life. The older the zombie is the more powerful it becomes, and the more powerful it is the greater its essence is when the ritual is invoked. The ritual kills the host zombie and using the body it begins to decompose into a very dense ichor. Over the process of two weeks the ichor will create a new zombie child-usually around five years of age by human standards. The more powerful the original zombie was the greater the odds of creating greater numbers of children.

From there on, once a year, the second part of the ritual uses the remains of the ichor to age the child. This is done so as the child learns and grows in size the constant re-making of its body will heal over acquired wounds so it is sufficiently safe from tearing itself apart before it reaches the age of fifteen. Afterwards a zombie ceases to age, using ichor from the ritual run-offs has become a medical movement to restore injured zombies, but every application "ages" them physically.

Zombies do not regenerate health with rest or healing, all medical attempts to heal them are simply to prevent further damage. The only way they may recover hit points is with cybernetic implants or ichor (which is rare on Necrosi and nearly unattainable off of it). Afterward cybernetic repairs will suffice if they become more then 50% cybernetic. The same applies for recovering from wounds from the wound table.

Zombies cannot be poisoned, diseased, or stunned

Painless: Zombies do not feel pain quite the same way most do. Any call for a will check involving pain (such as physical torture) is automatically passed.
